Pam was born just outside of Chicago, IL and her love of cooking started early. It began with her preparing dinners for her family of seven at the age of 10 and has continued throughout her life. She managed her first restaurant at the age of 21, and then moved on to her owning her own by the age of 29.

At the age of 52, in the summer of 2004, she was not feeling well. She was actually close to death, but didn’t know it. She was diagnosed with late-stage fallopian tube cancer and was given a 15% chance of survival and a 75% chance of recurrence. She thought her life was over and instead it was actually beginning a new chapter.

Her fierce determination to do all she could to help matters through her cancer journey led her on a still continuing expedition through the science of food and its relationship to cancer. As a supplement to her conventional cancer treatment, she created a diet around foods that may help cause cancer, and those that may help prevent it. Her research has led to the development of The Ultimate Anti-Cancer Cookbook, bringing her combined passions for good food and healthful living together. Pam currently lives happily, healthfully, and cancer-free in Los Angeles.
